On the 26th of August, we conducted a S4A for T-Scratch workshop at the new Tampines Regional Library at Our Tampines Hub! The theme was Smart Home, Smart Nation, where participants learned how to program their very own home lighting automation system, together with a burglar alarm system.

Using T-Scratch, participants equipped their home with lights that were controlled by a master switch, selective lighting, auto-locking, and more!

While many of the participants had little to no prior experience with coding, they quickly picked up the basics, thanks to the simple drag-and-drop block coding interface of Scratch for Arduino (S4A).

Thank you for having us, Tampines Regional Library! We hope to come back soon!
